Bill Horden
..........................
..........................

Hello,

I am a long-term sufferer of COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), a combination (in my case) of emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and asthma. A side effect of the COPD is the recent development of angina and atrial tachycardia. My condition is sufficiently severe as to require the use of supplemental oxygen, 24 hours a day.

Thanks to my participation in the Pulmonary Rehabilitation (or "wellness") program offered by St. Jude Medical Center, Fullerton, California, and continued exercise and support-group participation, I am relatively active and lead an interesting and rewarding life.

I call myself an "Impatient Advocate" of pulmonary Rehabilitation and of better and more assertive treatment of pulmonary disease. Several papers I have written have been well received by both patients and health care providers, and are reproduced here for public review and use.

You are invited to copy and distribute all materials on this web site, with appropriate credit, subject to the following conditions:

  • each article or item must be copied in its entirety, without editing, and;
  • each paper or article must be distributed free of charge to the recipients.
Please note that I have no financial interest in any institution, product, organization, or individual business mentioned on this web site, and that all royalties received for publication of my materials are promptly donated to my charities.

Sincerely,

Bill Horden
